Cancellation & Refund Policy

1. Your Right to Cancel

At Smart Win Competitions we aim to provide fair and transparent terms for all participants in our skill-based competitions. Please read this Cancellation & Refund Policy carefully before purchasing a ticket or entering any competition via www.smartwincompetitions.co.uk.

Under UK law, certain digital and service-based products do not carry the usual 14-day cancellation rights if the service is provided immediately and with your agreement. By entering our competitions:

  • You acknowledge that the competition entry involves a skill-based question and is a non-refundable service.
  • You agree that once your entry is submitted and payment is made, the service (i.e. entry into the competition and question evaluation) is deemed to have started and been fully performed.
  • Therefore, your statutory right to cancel under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 does not apply.

2. Refund Policy

We generally do not offer refunds for completed entries unless:

  • The competition is cancelled or postponed by us.
  • A technical error or duplicate payment occurs.
  • You are incorrectly charged due to an error on our part.

If any of the above apply, please contact us within 14 days of your transaction.

Refund requests must be submitted in writing to: smartwincompetitions@gmail.com

Include:

  • Your full name
  • Order number
  • Date of purchase
  • Reason for the refund request

3. Duplicate Entries or Mistaken Purchases

If you accidentally purchase multiple entries for the same competition, contact us immediately. We may, at our discretion, issue a refund if the entries have not yet been entered into the draw.

We reserve the right to deduct any payment processing fees incurred.

4. Competition Cancellation or Rescheduling

  • Cancelled: All entry fees will be refunded in full.
  • Rescheduled: You will be given the option to remain in the competition or request a full refund.

Refunds will be processed using the original payment method within 7–14 working days.

5. Chargebacks and Payment Disputes

If you dispute a payment (e.g., via your bank or card provider) after receiving entry into a competition, we reserve the right to:

  • Suspend or ban your account
  • Withhold any prizes associated with the disputed entry
  • Take legal steps to recover lost funds and associated fees
